My name is Alex Tong I received both my Accounting and Engineering Degrees from University of Texas at Arlington in the 80’s. I received my CPA certificate soon after my graduation. I met my wife in the university, married and am a father and grandfather. I firmly believe by participating in my professional society, I can enhance my technical skill and better serve my clients and foster education for the younger professionals. I have been a member of Texas Society of CPA, American Society of Tax Problem Solvers, American Institute of CPA, American Society of Tax Professionals, National Association of Tax Professionals and the American Taxation Association.
I have always felt strongly to give back to the community and the country which gave me so much, my family and I regularly contributed to civic, religious and charitable organization such as Drum Corps International, Dallas Chinese Community Center, Humane Society of the United States, Dallas Arboretum, Community Walks, Clinton Bush Global Initiative, Plano City Parks, Catholic World, Bishop’s Catholic Ministers, EWTN, Kimbell Art Museum, Music and Art Center, Parkland Foundation, Texans for Scott O’Grady and Vietnam Veterans in America.
I started out my career as an Auditor with Blue Cross Blue Shield; I subsequently worked for many nationally and internationally recognized companies with ever increasing higher responsibilities. I was with Methodist Hospital, John Peter Smith Hospital, Motorola, Siemens, TRW, Alcatel, and Fujitsu and was a lead contributor in several local high tech start-ups. I also owned and operated several businesses in the community.
Through this extensive business background, I believe that I ama businessman first and I am in the best position to help address fellow business owners’ financial, accounting and tax issues.
